Workers in your Heart

Our goal this year for our 26th anniversary was to celebrate and honor day workers and their families for 26 years of service. The activity “Workers in your Heart” gave everyone who attended the chance to write a special message to the day workers. We also thank Senator Josh Becker, 13th District, for recognizing the work our compañeres do.

Day Worker's Art Show

Day workers hold many skills aside from gardening, construction, house cleaning, etc. They also have hobbies such as music and art. To help celebrate our 26th anniversary and the day workers, the Center showcased an art show at the Mountain View City Hall from October 4th to November 4th, showcasing art pieces made by day workers. Art pieces included: paintings, wood sculptures, and quilts from the project "Traveling Stitches."
